Today is a very exciting day. Today, Mary-Kate and Ashley turn 18. Two things are about to happen, the first of which is that now they are legal, no-one cares anymore and they take one step closer to becoming the new Barbi twins.
The Barbi twins really freak me out. Ten years after Playboy stopped calling, they are still pouring out their incestuous callenders, though now they have to resort to online chat as a promotional tool:

Yes, it certainly looks like it. That's the cover of their callender. That is the image they have choosen to promote it. That is as good as it gets, and that is what Mary-Kate and Ashley will look like in 2030 when they are on talkshows desperately explaining why their marriages didn't work and why they still live together.
The second reason why Mary-Kate and Ashley's birthday is important is that it marks the date at which everyone who for years has based their website around a countdown to legality has to actually write something new. Tomorrow (possibly in a couple of weeks when the intellectual heavyweights with the countdowns realise this) will be an internet revolution.
The choice doubtless to be taken by the majority of the internet is to select another underage celebrity with whom to do exactly the same thing. To do this with Hillary Duff is too cliched, and Lindsey Lohan has too short a time remaining. Jason opted for Emma Watson, who is 14 years-old and 4'11" tall. At the time of writing, this leaves 1561 days remaining until her 18th birthday. That is 1561 days for which this individual does not have to make any new site content!
